Aunt Patty’s Organic Blackstrap Molasses, 12 oz. Blackstrap is the molasses yielded from the third and final extraction of sugar refining. It contains the lowest sugar content of any other type of molasses, but is the highest in quantities of vitamins and minerals.
In making sugar, juice from the cane is repeatedly boiled to extract sugar crystals, and molasses. Aunt Patty’s Organic Blackstrap Molasses comes from the final boiling and is rich in vitamins and minerals. Its rich, tangy taste iw wonderful in cookies, gingerbread, BBQ sauce and baked beans.
