This heirloom bush-type variety is a very productive, shorter season dry shell bean that can also be picked early and used as a snap bean. These beans are white with splashes and spots of red. They have a distinctively sweet, hearty flavor, but look more like a pinto bean when cooked.
Our family loves this variety and have enjoyed raising our own dry beans to eat over winter. Great with tacos, in soups, for bean dips, or just as a side dish. It really doesn’t take that many plants to produce 25 lbs. of beans! Beans seem to even taste better when you raise them yourself!
