St. John’s Wort
Studies have shown that hypericin and related bioactive constituents are
concentrated in the flowering buds of St. John’s Wort. We have standardized
our harvesting process to retain hypericin in the flowering buds, without
compromising other active constituents. We are careful to select only the
buds in consideration of this activity. The fresh succulent flower buds
are hand-harvested earlyin the morning, before the full strength of the
sun hits the plant material. Working with our own crew, we harvest this
quality plant material in the pristine mountains of northern Washington
near the Canadian border. The fresh plant material is then extracted by
adding it to alcohol immediately upon harvesting at the harvest location.
Potency: Herb Strength 1:1, 1000 mg root per 1 ml liquid.
INGREDIENTS: Fresh St. John’s Wort Flower Buds (Hypericum perforatum),
Organic Alcohol. Alcohol content: Not more than 50%.
Suggested use: Take 1 mL three times daily in warm water. 1 mL = approximately
40 drops.
Contraindications: If taking any prescribed medication, consult with your
health care professional before taking St. John’s Wort supplements. Do
no use if pregnant or nursing. Keep out of reach of children. Do not
exceed recommended dose unless under the guidance of a health care professional.
Discontinue use if unusual symptoms occur. CAUTION: St. John’s Wort
increases photosensitivity in some individuals. Avoid excessive exposure
to UV irradiation (e.g., sunlight; tanning) when using this product.
